Max Factor Face Finity All Day Primer, £10.99 in Boots

Image

Hey Amigos! I am writing to you from behind a wall of boxes and bag filled with my stuff, alas, operation second year is OVER! I get to go home for a wonderful summer of not getting lie ins and having children throw up on me. However, this does mean I can post a little more often than I have been, starting today!

I give you my review of this fabulous Max Factor primer.

At £10.99, it’s not super cheap but it’s not the most expensive product I’m carrying around either. It comes in a simple (but full size) bottle with a pump dispenser so waste is not an issue, and it is the best feeling thing my face has experienced. It’s so light, so smooth and does the job. I have (well, had) an ongoing battle with finding a primer that would not only stay on my skin all day and keep my make up on, but also one that didn’t make my skin look oily or dry. Also, there is no Disney-bad-guy-esque face melting shit going on in this heat either, my face stays put all day and I look fabulous, darling.

I am 10000% behind this product; I can’t get enough of the staying power it provides for my make-up and how soft it feels. 5/5 for this one, amigos.

See you next time! Mia xxx

No7 Make Up Brush Cleanser – Boots, £8

ImageImage

I bought this simply because during the deadline season, I wasn’t cleaning my brushes properly and didn’t want to give myself any spots. I picked this little beauty up in Boots for £8, and have used it a couple times now… And it is amazing! It’s not for deep cleansing, it’s mainly for keeping brushes clean between deep cleans, and I’ve been using this once a week just to keep ‘em clean.

Now this product… Man, it’s amazing. It takes a lot of the make-up off, even the glitter that is left behind after using eye-shadows (Looking at you, Naked 3). You simply put it onto a cotton pad or some tissue, rub the brushes into it and give them a pat down with a dry tissue to dry them a bit. It is amazing how much make up you can get off with a few swipes of the cleanser, I did it with my foundation brush and the cotton pads come out looking so dirty, even though I gave them a clean a week ago. Crazy.

I would give this a 5/5 because it is just so good, it takes a lot off the brushes and it is perfect for quick cleans or in-between brushes. I recommend this to anyone who gets a bit busy to clean their brushes regularly but needs them ASAP, as it does a great job.

Thanks for reading chums, see you next time

Okay, so that’s the important stuff that you, my potential reader, will need to know. But have some more… (I’m generous, I know)

So, I’m currently procrastinating my essay by making this blog, but then I’m procrastinating this introduction by doing my essay and I feel that speaks volumes about my life. I have the attention span of a pea and a really crude sense of humour, but you get used to it very quickly. If my books don’t have food or make up stains everywhere, then you know I didn’t really read it. I think my ability to spout quotes from pop culture films and songs is one of the best things about me. For example, you don’t even go here. I like to describe myself as a ‘peacock captain, you gotta let me fly.’ Imagine being a superhero whose only power was to know every movie quote ever? Erm, did someone say heaven?

I made this blog because I’ve been saying I would for a long time now but my aforementioned lack of an attention span has always found something more shiny and fun to play with instead. But alas, here we are. I made one (with the aid of my delightful best friend who technically made it for me) and I am here to offer my opinion on make up products, hair products, book products, general products and probably (most definitely) my life. I hope you will find it remotely interesting and will come back to see how hard I’ve worked on keeping focused.

So there we are. Thank you for reading. Hopefully you will be back to see how much effort I put into my procrastination.

Lots of love chums, Mia xx
